It's time

So I was informed today that Monday would be my last day at the BBC -aka- Boise Barber College. I am having some serious emotions about this move. I have put tons into this school and am just dying knowing that I am leaving such amazing people and all my hard work I am leaving there. I started training someone today to take my job and WOW I didn't know just how much I really did there. All my students are so upset and I am hoping this new lady will be a good replacement. I am also really sad to be leaving my nephews and my little baby nephew who I barely know. I hope they don't forget their Auntie Jessie.

I have this prospective job already in Idaho Falls and feel its important I get there. Not only for this job, but especially for Andrew! I am sooo excited just to be together again. Finally we can put our house together and just get settled.

Well wish me luck on wrapping it up here.

Sugar shortage?

So at work the other day a girlfriend of mine told me that she had heard from a reliable source that everyone needs to start stocking up on sugar because the government wants to stop candy bar companies from using sugar. The reason for that is so that they can use the sugar to make more ethanol. I heard it is going to be very very hard to come by. Has anybody else heard this?
So whether this is true or not I think it's maybe a good reminder to keep up on your storage of whatever you need. Just a thought!!

The Dramatic Starting

Well my dear hubby is in Idaho Falls and I have been here in Boise for the past 3 weeks. It has already been quite the adventure. Right now I have no computer, but my mom's and I can't download any pictures on here.. so sorry no pictures again until later.
So here is the beginning of our story.
On Thursday the 16 of July 2009 Andrew got offered a job in Rigby, Idaho. We decided it was best to take the job. So on Monday the 20 of July we packed up most of our little house in a U-Haul and took my dad's 4 Runner and drove up to Idaho Falls. My mom and I were in Andrew's little car that had no cruise control. It was quite the ride. As we embarked on our journey, let me remind you we had noooo place to live. We were just going with the wind.
So we finally reached our destination and had an appointment set up to look at an apartment. We hated it so we asked if there was any town-homes available because we loved ours in the past. So off we went to the other side of town. As we drive over into Ammon it all the sudden opens up into these rolling hills and cute little town-homes. It was so beautiful. I just knew it would be the place. So we walk into the town home and it was two story and very adorable. It was dusty and kinda smelled a little, but that's because it hasn't  been rented out since April. So we decided to sign a lease so that we could just move right in. We went to the office and as we are signing there was no AC and we were all dying, plus we were STARVING. It had been about 6 hours since we had any food. The landlord told us that when we are to leave at the end of our lease, there would be a inspection with a white glove. She made quite the fuss about it. When we were done we called our oh so wonderful friends Brit and Kelly and told them we'd buy them dinner if they'd be so kind to help us move some of our bigger items in the house. They were so awesome and agreed to it. WOW we're thankful for them. This is where it all began.. all the craziness.
After dinner we went to the house and when we walked in we all kinda re-smelled the awful smell that was there. My friend Brit is pregnant and she got down on her hands and knees and started sniffing the ground for urine smells. It was quite the sight. She just cracks me up. She didn't smell anything in the carpet so we decided to move on. We moved into the kitchen and started sweeping the kitchen. The laundry room was next, as I'm sweeping I was somewhat sweeping underneath the washer and all the sudden out popped a dog bone. Well now the realization hit that they had a dog. So we start looking around and found the whole sides of some of the panels are totally chewed up. Brit tried to take my mind off of it and decided we should start putting spices away. So I agree and I open a cabinet to put spices on the shelves. I put my hand up on the shelf and feel the most disgusting sticky stuff as I pull my hand away. I look my hand has honey all over it. So now I start freaking out and start really looking around. I open the fridge and the fridge is gross on the bottom shelf. I open the freezer and guess what I found.... Mildew. White glove inspection my bleep!! The toilets were gross, the drains had hard limestone marks, and the blinds has huge spots taken out of them. You could see into our house with the blinds down.
Andrew and Kelly were moving things in as this whole process was going on. They were just as much in a dilemma. Our stairwell is  very narrow and it's pretty hard to fit certain things up it, take for instance our box spring. Let me tell you it was one tense town home during this time. Andrew and Kelly had been working their tushes off and were very discouraged. The neighbors next door came home as we were unloading some boxes and they ended up telling us that they had to just force their box spring up the stairwell and that their place was super dirty also. In the end they loved their place and the location, that was nice to hear. Well after 2 holes, a broken banister, scraped paint, and a broken box spring, we finally had it moved up stairs. Andrew and I were seriously thinking of calling it quits with the house, but my mom worked us through it.
Kelly and Brit finally left and I'm sure were so happy to get out of there. We sure did appreicate all their hard work. THANK YOU GUYS SOOO MUCH!
My mom and I ended up cleaning the whole house until about 2:30 in the morning. At around midnight the other neighbors who we hadn't meant they knocked on our door and she told me to be quiet. I said sorry and she just kept talking I was like, "yeah I get it, we'll be quiet thanks." I was one big grouch.
The next day Andrew talked to our landlord and luckily she gave us a small refund. We drove up to Rexburg and saw Andrew's family. We also had some errands to run and on our way home Andrew received a phone call from his new boss. They asked him to start a day earlier because the boss was coming into town. The Lord has been so good to us. We were fortunate enough to find this good job and a good home.

Well 3 weeks later.....
Andrew is loving his job, loving our home, and everything is going good there for him. I moved into my mom's house and go over to our house and pack little by little every day.
I have no job set up in Idaho Falls and am hoping that whatever I am suppose to do will just happen. I have been very emotional during these last few weeks, I am slowly getting more used to the idea that I will be leaving my wonderful job and all the great friends I have made. I have broken into tears many a times and am hoping that the transition will go smoother than expected.
I know this is right for Andrew and I, but at the same time is hard to move from my family and my great job. I will miss everything so much but I think that it's time for change and hopefully it will be a ride that takes us on a much bigger adventure!
XOXO

PS I will be moving over there more towards September instead of November. WOOHOO

So the beat goes on...

Well just a really small update with a big announcement..... Andrew accepted a job up in Eastern Idaho so back to our "roots" so to speak. Andrew will be working for a software company that is called Computer Lab Solutions. The office is in Rigby, but we are thinking we are going to find an apartment for Andrew in Idaho Falls. We are moving Andrew up there tomorrow (which is monday) He will be going through a trial period for about 3 months and during that time I will be moving back in with my parents until Andrew's trial period is over so we can make sure we have job security wherever we may be. We are assuming I will be following after about 3-4 months... you saw that right... MONTHS. We are dreading being seperated, but we feel as good as we can about it. We are just lucky for this opportunity that Andrew will be getting a job in his own profession. Thanks for all your many thoughts and prayers.
XOXO

the last few months

So in April I left for California for my oldest brother's wedding. It was such a blast and we ended up spending Easter weekend there. Andrew wasn't able to come due to work. So I went with my family. We had such a good time and it was just nice to get away for a while from work but of course not from Andrew. Here are just a few pictures of our time in Palm Springs. It was sooo windy there that at the wedding everyone's dress was flying around.

here are my parent's and my sweet niece at dinner one night

This is Easter, there is Jax, Dax, Ryker, and Mia

Well now it is June and since we don't have kids, puppies, or any other type of small thing in our lives, there of course is nothing new here in Boise, Idaho. We are just hanging out and we are both loving our jobs for the most part. We are headed to Utah this weekend to visit Andrew's family and are looking forward to the time we get to spend with them. We are also most defiantly ready for a break. We want to go to the Salt Lake temple since I have never been there so I'm really excited! Summer is here and we are ready for boating and tanning. Andrew and I both get off work at 3 so it's nice that we have the afternoons together.
Anyways this was really short but when you have nothing new or exciting it's hard to share anything. Just know that we love reading your blogs and we also love you!

something somewhat new.... but not really

Ok so I know all we talk about is work and well that just about sums it up. Here's a new tidbit at my work that is going to be happening these coming months. The owner of our school is going to start expanding our school. We are breaking down the wall next door and making some more stations... the good news is that I am going to get my own office and all the new stations we are making are going to be my color stations. So basically that part of the school is going to be all mine. Everything is going so wonderful and everything is moving forward. I have decided to start doing hair after school with some of my old clients so we can bring in some extra income.

Andrew is doing awesome and he has decided to move forward onto the retention team at DirecTV. When this happens that means he can move up on the chain. Some of his superiors have heard his name around the office and one of them is always wanting to talk with andrew and pick his brain. Andrew has been coming up with some brillant ideas for direcTV to make them money and is hoping to maybe share his ideas with some people who can have an infulence on if it goes through or not. I am sooo proud of him and that he is so positive on what we all think are life's downers. What a great husband and infuluence he is on me!

So here we are pretty much moved into our house and everything is up on our walls. We are loving our new place and our ward. I am headed to Palm Spring, California for my brother's wedding this weekend with my family. I cannot wait to be in the warm sun. I will of course miss my boo but I'm excited to see my neice. Sorry it's been such a long time since the update. I'll have pictures after the weekend from my brother's wedding.

It's about time!

So here we are a new year, new goals, new trials, new adventures, and new opportunities! We are so grateful to be here with jobs and each other. Beginning of this month we FINALLY moved out of my parent's house.. wow and was it about time. They were probably sooo sick of us and we were ready to be on our own. We were so fortunate to have family who opened their home to us. Also Andrew has started a new job and right in time since Circuit City is closing. We must have someone looking after us. He is working at Direct TV and is loving it so far. He is in training and gets to be out on the floor in 4 weeks. We just found out that my brother is getting married in April in Palm Springs California. We are hoping that we can go and be with my family so we can go to Disneyland, well see though. It's time to start saving if so. So I am almost done with my instructor's program and now I have to do my state instructor boards, so I'm a little freaked out about it.
Anyways here are some picture of our new house. We are only renting for now. These pictures are right in the middle of us hanging stuff and moving in boxes. They aren't very good so heads up. I promise we aren't this messy!

Here is our walk in closet... sweet we finally have one!

here is our master bathroom...

here is our master bed... so messy again sorry.
our second bathroom for all you vistors who come into town we got you covered
our pantry for food storage... not much there yet but soon enough it'll happen
our laundry room and cabinet space.
our kitchen obviously!
Well anyways it has been snowing here and when I took these pictures it was too cold to go outside and take a picture of the house itself so maybe later I'll download some more pics.
